STRETCH THERAPY

Did you know Stretch Therapy allows you to reach your fitness goals faster and can help prevent injuries?
Why is Stretching so important?
In your very first PE class in elementary school, you found out that stretching is important. However, when you’re short on time, don’t be tempted to skip the stretches before your workout because that’s how injuries happen! Whether you’re suffering from body aches and pains, feeling stress, or you just want to improve your flexibility, stretching is something that everyone benefits from. For example, one of the many things that makes stretching superior in dealing with flexibility problems is that it has no age limit and requires minimal stress on your body. Therefore, stretching is great exercise for young kids as well as 90-year-old senior citizens.

Stretching helps your body repair itself
As a result, stretching allows the body to prepare itself for repeat daily activity. For example, one of the stretching techniques our FITology Personal Trainers employ is called Active Isolated Stretching. With the AIS technique, each stretch is held for only two seconds. Moreover, this method of stretching is also known to work with the body’s natural physiological makeup to improve circulation and increase the elasticity of muscle joints and fascia.
