To cut back on excuses, create a dedicated space in your home for your workout equipment to stay so that you can use it anytime without hassle.
Change it Up
Doing the same old routine day after day can get boring, and boredom can easily lead to quitting an exercise or cutting corners on workouts. You can stay motivated and challenged by switching up your routine regularly and incorporating new movements and activities into your routine. Not only will this help keep you motivated, but doing different types of workouts will dramatically increase your overall fitness.
Record Your Exercise
Whether you do yoga, lift weights or run on a treadmill, your form is essential. Not only can having the right form help you get a better workout, but it can also help you prevent injury. If you video record your exercises, you can analyze your shape and form when running, lifting, doing yoga, or any other type of exercise. Watch the recordings of yourself and critique your movements to help supercharge your workout.
Fuel Up Before and After
Working out takes fuel, so you want to make sure that your body has the nutrition it needs to keep your energy levels up during your workout. After your workout, you will need replenishment of all the nutrients you expended during exercise. Staying properly fueled is a key to getting a great workout and to recovering afterward.
Along with fuel, your body needs water to replace all that it loses when you sweat. Unless you workout for an hour or more, you probably won’t need much more than a few sips of water mid-workout but do drink plenty of water afterward. Dehydration can drain your energy just as much as lack of proper fuel.
